Biography

Edward Roussel is Chief Innovation Officer at The Wall Street Journal & Dow Jones, a role he assumed in May 2015. He oversees the exploration of new products and technologies that are transforming media, with a view to create new business opportunities. In his previous role as Head of Product at Dow Jones, Edward oversaw the refresh of all the WSJ’s digital platforms including WSJ.com, iOS (WSJ Apple Watch app and WSJ iPad app), WSJ Android app, WSJ newsletters and the technology website, WSJD.

Before joining Dow Jones two years ago, Edward worked for seven years at the Telegraph Media Group, in London. As Executive Editor, Digital, Edward headed the Telegraph.co.uk website and digital development. He worked closely with the editor-in-chief on the restructuring of the 500-person newsroom, placing digital journalism at its core.

Edward previously worked at Bloomberg. Over an 11-year period, his roles included running the Brussels, Paris and London newsrooms, overseeing European economic and political coverage and, in his final role at Bloomberg, he headed global financial coverage.
