As Executive Vice President, Marketing & Digital, Entertainment Networks for NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment, Alexandra Shapiro is responsible for the creative oversight of USA Network, Syfy, Chiller and Cloo, which includes consumer and strategic marketing, digital and social strategy, creative, brand initiatives, promotions and business development.
Based in New York, Shapiro has spearheaded the launch of numerous successful brand campaigns across the network which includes the award-winning and record-breaking hits MONK, SUITS, GRACELAND, WHITE COLLAR, BURN NOTICE, ROYAL PAINS, PSYCH, POLITICAL ANIMALS, COVERT AFFAIRS, CHRISLEY KNOWS BEST and COLONY.
In April 2016, Shapiro led the charge on the creation of USA’s “We The Bold,” a new brand positioning that encapsulates the network’s evolved programming strategy and telegraphs a new, distinct point of view for the brand that builds upon its rich, characters-driven history.
Shapiro has also been recognized for her work by receiving many great honors. The most recent of which includes a story in Advertising Age which named USA one of its “Marketers to Watch” in 2015 – a year in which she spearheaded the launch of the most buzzed-about original drama of the year, MR. ROBOT.
