Biography

During his 20 years working in the music business, Bruce Flohr has continued to evolve. After running the nationally recognized college radio station KCPR, Flohr joined RCA Records as head of Alternative Promotion, where he guided the careers of numerous bands. He then moved into a dual A&R/Marketing position at RCA and signed Dave Matthews Band and Foo Fighters. In 2002, he switched gears and joined Coran Capshaw and Dave Matthews Band at Red Light Management and ATO Records which roster includes Alabama Shakes, My Morning Jacket, and Brandi Carlile to name a few. Recently, Bruce has been directly involved in the management of Dave Matthews Band, The Band Perry, Miley Cyrus, Allen Stone, Parachute, OAR Keke Palmer, and Switchfoot.

Bruce is also a founding partner in the music media company GreenLight Media & Marketing. GreenLight’s mission is to put together an experience that creates a culture between a brand and music. They work with clients such as AMEX, Under Armour, Intel, and Hyundai to build exclusive music driven campaigns. GreenLight recently sold a majority stake to Live Nation. Bruce remains an active shareholder in the company.

Bruce is also heavily involved in technology, helping start-ups gain traction in the music space. Bruce has worked closely with companies such as BandPage, PogoSeat, Tee Spring, and 8 Tracks, among others.

Bruce’s previous speaking engagements include Red Bull, Under Armour, Birch Box, RCA records, Midem, SXSW, MuseExpo, Summit Series Dublin, and several others.
