Before leading Apps and Services, Thom served as the corporate vice president of Windows Marketing. In his first year at the company, he drove the global launch of and led all marketing initiatives for Windows Phone. Prior to Microsoft, Thom was the global managing partner of Telecom & Technology at McCann World Group. Some of his best-known work includes the iconic Verizon “Can you hear me now?” campaign, which established the firm’s category leadership and drove unprecedented growth for the company.
In November 2008, Thom was inducted into the AAF (American Advertising Foundation) Advertising Hall of Achievement, receiving the highest honor for an industry professional under 40.
